Process

Curled hair is always a go to look. Its perfect for parties, school, work, and just for an everyday look. I love curling my hair because it can be styled many different ways. You can go from simple to dramatic and the curls will look great either way.

Materials: Curling wand, hair brush.

Steps
1) Make sure hair is completely dry. If you showered and your hair is wet allow it to dry completely. Wet or damp hair will not allow curls to form.
2) Untangle hair. Brush your hair completely and make sure it is free of tangles. If there are tangles in your hair it wont allow you to grab sections of your hair smoothly, or wrap the hair around the wand nicely. Also, tangled hair can cause the finished look to look messy and unpresentable.
3) turn the curling wand on so it starts heating up, and is ready to start using after the next step.
4) part your hair into two sections. So you'll have a left and right section of hair. This will make it easier to finish one side and keep the sections organized.
5) Start with a little section of hair from one side. Put the wand in front of that section of hair holding the wand slightly downward.

6) Wrap the little section of hair around the wand. keep hair on the wand for 5 seconds. you can leave it on for longer if you have thicker hair.
7) let go of the hair that you have around the wand and hold the curled hair in your hand for 3 seconds. This will allow the curl to hold tighter together instead of having loose curls. NOTE: If you want looser curls then holding the curl is not necessary.
WARNING: hair is very hot when coming straight off of the wand. There are heat protectant gloves you can wear so you wont accidentally burn your hand with the hot part of the wand or when holding your hair in your hand.
8) When your done with one side start with the second section of your hair. Repeat steps 5-7 until you have completely curled all your hair.
CAUTION:  If your setting the curling wand down between steps make sure that the surface will not get burned.
Note: If you have fragile hair there is heat protectant sprays you can use before using heat on your hair.

You have competed curling your hair. You may keep it simple like this or style it more.
